Hey, I’m Katie!
I am a homeopathic practitioner and holistic health coach. My aim is to partner with individuals who want to utilize a whole-person approach to their health. I use the homeopathic process to help people make conscious connections between their physical symptoms and their mental emotional state and heal from the deepest level so that healing lasts.
My belief is that as humans, we are already whole and possess the innate ability to heal ourselves. However, due to the nature of life, we develop patterns or conditions that throw us out of balance, creating internal dissonance that leads to the expression of disease and the experience of suffering.
My goal is to empower you to restore the belief in your body’s natural ability to heal by using the homeopathic process to work with your body rather than against it. The way I do this is by addressing the root cause of your symptoms by gaining a deep understanding of your unique experience and prescribing a remedy based on what best fits your unique symptom picture. This is done through the homeopathic intake, follow-up, and remedy prescription process. (To learn more about how homeopathy works, click here).
At the core of my practice I believe that healing happens in a space of true curiosity and compassion and when we are able to view ourselves in our wholeness through a lens of unconditional love and acceptance. Through this we are able to find restorative balance and the freedom to be our truest and most authentic selves. Because this is at the foundation of my work, through this process you will be held in curious compassion and deeply listened to.
I work with individuals of all ages from all walks of life and have the privilege of taking clients worldwide via Zoom video conferencing.
How Homeopathy Found Me
Homeopathic Retreat 2022 with my colleagues: Nicole Conoryea (left) and Heather Lundgren (right)
I first came to homeopathy as a client in 2011. A young adult suffering from endometriosis, chronic pain, and chronic fatigue. After visits to many specialists in the field of conventional medicine, I had turned to elimination diets, herbalism, acupuncture, and aromatherapy, yet found none of these modalities to have a lasting or curative effect on my health. Though I had felt discouraged, I couldn’t shake the intuitive sense that there was a deep cause for my health issues that I hadn’t yet uncovered and that’s when homeopathy came into my life.
When I started working with a homeopathic practitioner, I found that little by little, my health began to transform. It wasn’t just that my symptoms started to disappear, it was as if I was healing from the inside out. I began to feel stronger, more resilient, more vital. I was happier, more energetic, and through the process, I found myself making deep connections between my physical symptoms and my mental-emotional state. As I continued, my awareness of myself expanded and I began to understand myself more deeply than I ever had before.
In 2018, I made the decision to enroll in a classical homeopathic training program at the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy. It was in this program that I completed my didactic training until 2021, when I transferred to the Prometheus Homeopathic Institute for the final 2 years of my clinical training. I graduated in January 2023 and am now taking clients through my own private practice.
Background & Daily Life
I’ve always had a desire to work with others to help them make lasting improvements in their lives. I have a rather diverse occupational background from cosmetology to working with individuals with disabilities and neurological disorders. I received my Bachelor of Science in the Speech Language and Hearing Sciences and a Minor in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota in 2018. From 2012 through 2018, I worked with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as individuals who have suffered from neurological disorders.
I currently live in Two Harbors, MN near the North Shore of Lake Superior with my partner Spencer and our chocolate lab named Rudder. In addition to being a practicing homeopath, I am also a watercolorist, my focus being mainly on painting the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Minnesota (if you’re interested in checking out my work, click here!). I’ve loved writing since I was a child, you’ll find evidence of that if you check out my blog. I’m a sucker for a good book, from fantasy to crime novels. I’m also an avid downhill skier and snowshoer in the winter. During the warmer months of the year, I love hiking and making treks into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. If you ever find me in the forest or on a lake, I’m probably at my happiest.
